(Before I start I just want to give you a heads up that this is one of the last couple of newsletters I’ll be sending out to you this year. When the time comes, I’ll be on a hiatus from some time in December to the very end of January. I’ll go into better detail when the time comes.)
After basically completing Creatober I’ve been getting back into crochet. I decided to make some more bee keychains so that I can hopefully sell them at craft shows next year.
Lately, I’ve also been looking at all of my craft show supplies. It’s been sitting in the corner ever since my last market. And I haven’t even looked through all the things I have.
I’m planning on making other keychain designs such as a strawberry keychain and I still have to finish the sheep keychain that I showed in my last newsletter for Creatober. I have so many ideas and plans for my next craft show I am so excited!!
But enough of me talking about craft shows you’ve probably heard enough about that.
Other than crocheting, I haven’t done much. I’ve noticed that there are some days when I come up with really exciting ideas, but I never truly start them. Instead, I tend to procrastinate by leaving the idea alone and soon enough the excitement for that one project is gone and I find that it is no longer worth my time.
Half of me doesn’t want to do a project like that because I don’t want to force myself and then the other half of me wants to push myself to create even though I’m not excited.
I’ve also realized that for situations like this, it's probably better if I work fast instead of caring about every detail.
Which leads me to my latest zine:
So this zine was created a couple of hours before this newsletter came out. It’s not amazing or anything like that but this is the first zine I’ve completed this year!🎉 (The other zines I never got around to finishing.) Creating this zine was definitely an experiment. I gave myself a time limit of a little over 2 hours.
You probably noticed that there was no front or back cover and that some pages were blank. That’s because, before I ever got to the final zine I had four draft zines that took u most of the time I gave myself. So I only ended up using a little over 30 minutes to complete the final zine in a little over.
In the end, I learned that working under pressure can be good sometimes since you're not thinking about all the details. But next time I think I would work in a bigger time frame. Maybe 3.5 hours?
(P.S. I don't actually know how many of you read all the way to this point of the newsletter so let's do a little experiment! Comment below whether you’re more of a dog or cat person. And if your neither than what type of pet’s do you like or have?)
I'm personally like both a dog and cat but if I had to choose then i probably would choose dogs!
Cat!! But I actually have pretty rats. 😍
